Slammin’ String Bean Casserole

  • 4 regular size cans string beans
  • ½ can cream of mushroom soup
  • ¼ cup Happy Hal’s
  • 1 jar cheese whiz
  • 1 pkg. bacon
  • 1 large link fresh pork sausage or 1 lb Jimmy Dean

Remove sausage from casing, and slightly brown sausage, then bacon. Drain well.

In saucepan, over medium heat, add Hal’s, cheese whiz, and soup. Cook until slightly thick. Add crumbled sausage on top of string beans. Pour cheese whiz over sausage layer. Add cut bacon pieces to top layer.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350°.

If desired, add more cheese or mushrooms to suit your taste.
