Lise’s Lamb Loin Chops

  • 8 oz. carton plain yogurt
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1-2 tbsp. Happy Hal’s jalapeno relish
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp. chopped fresh mint or mint sauce or jelly
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1 tsp honey 8 lamb loin chops, 4 -5 oz. each

In a bowl stir together yogurt, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and jalapeno relish. Add garlic, mint, lemon peel and honey and blend well. Cover and chill 2-24 hours. Sprinkle lamb chops lightly with salt and pepper. Broil 5 inches from heat for 6 minutes on each side.

Pour yogurt sauce evenly all over.
